
Turning IT into a competitive advantage

- For a Global Semi-Conductor Company, we lead the set up of a New Mail Architecture supporting the phasing out of a legacy mail platform and migration to an Exchange/Outlook 2007 environment.
- For a European Joint Venture of the world's major white and brown goods manufacturers we coordinated the rollout of a standard XML based trading protocol at their joint customers across Europe. Since 2005, the total number of connected customers has more then doubled which contributed to significantly increase efficiencies of the manufacturers’ and their customers' sales and supply chain business processes. We also contributed to set up a new version of the XML protocol while thoroughly managing the release management process.
- For a Global Retailer we created a new IT Operating Model supporting the transformation of the current IT organization to a IS Shared Services Organization: this covered Customer Support processes and organization as well as Infrastructure Services Delivery. The success of this work is mainly to be attributed to the quick and effective buy-in at IT Senior Management level right from the beginning of the project.
- For a Global Insurance Company, we created the Standard Service Delivery Framework based on ITIL which is now the foundation of the company’s Shared Services Organization worldwide. An essential part of this success was due to the ability to sell the concept to senior management and executive level while achieving consensus and buy-in. This was a key piece of work that contributed to the sale of a multi-million euros transformation program.
- For a Global Consultancy Firm, we lead the implementation of the Managed Network Services across Europe to support the transformation to a new European voice and data network. The ability to understand the needs of each local IT organization as well as the European Customer Center combined to deep subject matter expertise contributed to the successful rollout of this global network in a record time of a year.
- For the Dutch Public Transports Operators, we lead the Technical Coordination for the sale and implementation of the National smart card system for the Dutch Public Transportations companies. Our ability to understand broadly but well enough the to-be built complex 4 Tier system composed of a Clearing House, operator level and station level reporting systems and station level readers was key to win the tender. During the implementation, the technical expertise as well as a sense of diversity and transparency were success factors to deliver the expected results in a very complex multi-cultural, multi-client and multi-location program.
- For a leading UK Retailer we lead the set up a new Operations Architecture that would enable the UK retailer to run their complete new estate of Business Applications. Starting from scratch, the design was pulled up in less then 3 months and obtained buy-in from the key senior IT managers within the client’s IT organization. The implementation was successfully done with a team of 15 people and a multi-million budget. The underlying products were CA Unicenter TNG, BMC Control-M, HPOpenview, RADIA (Novadigm) and Veritas.
